Fuji's on a roll with the two great inter-changable lens systems, the APS and medium format systems, with the X and GFX lenses, respectively.
I have an XT-3 and love it. But I also like to have a smaller camera for those everyday situations where I'm jumping in the car with the family to go somewhere.
Fuji's fixed lens camera offerings have been shrinking.
The XF10 is still listed on the web page as a current product, but it looks like it's reached End of Life, and is out of stock everywhere.
The X-100V is a huge hit. The franchise has been well looked after by Fujifilm, and the current fifth version is beloved by everyone.
But both of these cameras are single focal length cameras with APS sensors.
Fuji's older 2/3 inch X30 was the last compact zoom camera that Fuji made. I have posted elsewhere my opinion that there is still a good market for an everyday pocketable camera with a usable zoom. X30 was 28mm to 112mm equivelent, I believe.
Sony and Canon both make 1" sensor cameras like this. Panasonic has one with the larger Micro 4/3 sensor. When you start thinking about these sorts of systems you realize that the bigger the sensor the bigger the lens, so there is some reason to not try to cram a APS sensor into such a beast. The XF10 is the best option if that's what you want. But many of us would be willing to go down in sensor size to get a usable zoom range. }
I'd love Fuji to build a new compact travel camera with a 28-100mm fast zoom, an updated X30. What do you think? Do you use that sort of camera? What brand did you get?
