Following retirement Derek now devotes his spare time to creating stunning photos of beautiful ladies. Most of the photos are the result of collaborative shoots with models who are already well established in the business, are working with him to enhance their portfolios or are novices who wish to sample the pleasures of modelling as a hobby

Derek also is a keen member of the local Milton Keynes University of the Third Age which is a collective of activity groups for people no longer in full-time work who get together to work on various projects and themes.

Derek started and is active in the Advanced Photography Group which aims to help budding photographers improve their skills, participate in group or individual photographic outings to local places
