Sorry to bump but does anyone know if this is possible?

Is there anyway to get the shutter speed to stay the same in movie mode after turning the camera off/on? I want the shutter speed to stay at 1/50 but it reverts to 1/25. The q menu has SS as Auto. If I change it here to 1/50 it has a red dot but reverts to Auto and 1/25 after turning off/on. Thanks! Ian

A few more years later... I'm using Indigosky on a Raspberry Pi to control my XT5 and mount. https://www.indigo-astronomy.org/indigo-sky.html Have it paired to Indigo D1 running on my Mac https://www.cloudmakers.eu/d1/ Works well and can control the camera. Couldn't get Kstars/Ekos to work reliably with my XT3 and not at all with my XT5. Siril for processing raw files.

Another vote for the Aliexpress L-bracket. Good quality and doesn't have the extended grip.

In Button/Dial Setting have you got Aperture Ring Setting set to Command?
