Tazdog

I have the front dial set to "M" for manual focus. When I try to manually focus it should zoom into the part of the frame that I am focusing on. Why would it not be doing it? Also with manual focus enabled when I use the back button "AF-L" it locks the focus but in the menu I have switch enabled. So should it not stay focused on that distance till i release it by pushing the button again? Thanks
