Hi Doug,
Thanks for the thorough response. I had tried a few of those tests, and did the rest after your reply. Unfortunately, it's still the same situation. I guess my only option is to wait a couple weeks until I'm home from my travels and to then send it to the retailer for warranty repair or replacement.
