Hi everyone,
I’m looking to purchase a ring flash for macro photography to use with my Fujifilm X-T3, and I’d love some advice from those with experience.
Use Case:
I shoot macro subjects like insects and flowers, and I want a ring flash that provides even, shadow-free lighting. Ideally, I’d like something that’s well-integrated with the Fuji system (TTL compatibility would be great, but I’m open to manual options too).
My Main Considerations:
• TTL vs. Manual: Does anyone have experience with TTL ring flashes on Fuji? Or is manual control the better way to go?
• Flash Power & Control: I want something with adjustable power to avoid harsh lighting.
• Ease of Use & Reliability: Are there any brands/models that work particularly well with the X-T3?
• Budget: Open to both budget-friendly and higher-end recommendations—just looking for the best value for my needs.
Options I’m Considering:
I’ve come across a few options but would love input from experienced users:
• Godox MF-R76 – Seems to be a solid, budget-friendly choice. Does it work well with Fuji?
• Meike FC-110 – Very affordable, but is it reliable?
• Nissin MF18 – More expensive but offers TTL support. Worth it?
Are there any better options I should consider? I’d love to hear what you’re using on your Fuji X-T3 for macro photography, and any pros/cons you’ve encountered.
Thanks in advance!
