  1. Hi everyone from the UK. I'm new to Fuji X cameras after being lured in by reviews on You-Tube. One of the things that has most impressed me about Fuji was to hear in the last few days that they have released new updated firmware for the Fuji X T1, a camera that has been replaced by a newer model. This gives one confidence that you won't be forgotten when you buy into the Fuji X system. I'm looking forward to getting back into photography after having problems using my old camera due to the 'age' problem and needing glasses, (viewfinder much too small on my Lumix). Looking at the OVF and EVF on the newer Fuji X cameras has sparked my interest once more snapping pics. I'm into street, landscapes and portrait photography. My interests outside photography are rugby union, WEC motor sport (Porsche LMP1) and playing badminton. I've posted already in 'MISC' under Fuji X T2 or Fuji X Pro2? and have had helpful replies. Here's looking forward to contributing to the Fuji X Forum. Regards to all, Paul
  2. Thanks 'Mr.T' for your thoughts and 'milandro' for the links. I'm coming to the conclusion that the X T2 will be my best option, particularly regarding the viewfinder. After trying the X T2 the main reason for continuing to consider the X Pro2 was the retro look which I love.
  3. I'm sure many of you will have been through this question yourselves, but just wanted to get peoples advice on what I should do. I've been on a bit of a journey, but at this stage I've not yet purchased either of the above cameras. HOWEVER......... I have purchased a Fuji X lens, a wide angle 16mm f1.4 WR. I know this sounds like 'cart before the horse' but I was so impressed with reviews of this lens I knew I wanted to go down that route and thought I'd decide on the body later. Also the lens was on offer so wanted to get in quickly. I've viewed so many You-Tube videos of the X T2 and the X Pro2 that I'm finding it difficult to make my mind up. Money no object I'd get both, but in the real world that's not an option. My last camera was a Lumix bridge camera with built in Leica zoom lens, which I'd owned many years. It took OK pictures but had a tiny viewfinder. This wasn't a problem then as I didn't wear glasses. Now and over the last few years I've needed glasses and was finding it difficult to use. Because of this issue I stopped using the camera. After seeing the reviews of more modern cameras, Leica Q and initially the Fuji X100F, (a great camera) and the Fuji X Pro2 it reawakened my love of photography. I ruled out the Leica and was going down the X Pro2 route when I discovered the X T2. As I've mentioned I love both cameras and taking into account the recent firmware upgrades which camera do you think would be best for wearers of glasses. I don't take a lot of sport pictures but concentrate mainly on landscape, street and portrait. I know the Pro2 has the hybrid viewfinder and the T2 only the EVF but when I've tried both the T2 does seem to have the larger viewfinder. Also the lens did encroach into the field of view in the OVF on the Pro2 and that was without the lens hood. The diopter adjustment on both cameras helped but meant taking my glasses off. Please help!
