In March 2016 a dream came true: I took the opportunity to acquire a used but pristine combo of M8 and 35mm Summilux, added a new 75mm Summarit and  entered the Leica universe.

I´ve been observing the evolvement of Leica Cameras for 3 decades. Mid 80´s I participated in a guided tour of the Leica works in Solms (DE). The fever did not leave me and finally became stronger and stronger.

It seems that the triangle of Shutter Speed, Aperture and ISO is sufficient for me as I grew up in an analogue camera world. In the last month, I experienced again, that restriction is enriching and allows focussing on the essentials of composition and exposure.

My new companion got a new red/black halfcase, a red Thomas Leuthardt Strap and inevitable IR filters.

I am afraid, that I am open for the "Adoption" of another digital Leica rangefinder which should be a 35mm Version ie. M9 or even a monochrome. let´s see!

"Time is too short for distracting electronics and consumer gear." arrogant? - No, but true!

As of late 2017 I shoot with Fuji X Pro2 which is known as the poor man´s Leica. I am fully addicted to the rangefinders as well as convinced of the Quality of generated jpg files right out of camera.
