  1. I live in Thailand too, never had a problem with any Fuji lens but my xt1 got smashed up and the guys at Fuji Bangkok were great, got a new camera for quarter price of original so I'm sure if u need to send back the lenses to them they can assist. Like I said in my original post I have used my Fuji lenses in all conditions and while not being over careless with them they have not had any faults ( touchwood )
  2. You can check on that compare website the f1.4 is 2mm longer than the xf 60 , sure it's fatter but my main reason for buying it is it's actually not large really and 300grams .... Like someone said above have an option to just own both
  3. I live in Thailand throughout the year, every day I take my xt1 with varying lenses walk to work outside on sites and inside in Aircon I use 10-24, 35f2, 27, 60 never had problems even shot longexposure with 10-24 other night in medium rainy conditions water on the lens and camera didn't faulter ...... Maybe if the rain was monsoon and the water in the lens mount but I wouldn't shoot out in those conditions anyway , im grabbing the 23 f1.4 for $550 so can't complain at that price
  4. I was in Bangkok and Ayutthaya as well as some beaches a few weeks ago and for the whole 10days just had 1 Xt1 , 12mm samyang, 35f2 WR and 60mm ( Poorer mans setup :-) and all that did exceptionally well , i changed lenses alot i have a small shouder bag and can just grab whichever prime stick the camera in the bag and change lens , i didnt experience too much dust on my sensor, you can always get a few aps-c sensor swaps to pack with you if your worried about that :-) Just have fun shooting and try to be as light weight as possible - If i had only 1 lens i would just bring the 23mm f1.4 ( I need to buy that ) or the 10-24 ( want that one too but more heavy ) but as of now i carry around the xt1 and 35f2 daily so lightweight i dont even bother with a bag :-) Enjoy
