I do hope to have the full range eventually, it's just what order I buy them in!  
 
I can't do eBay or Amazon. On top of international shipping charges, 30% import duties in the Philippines (which also impacts the prices of new gear in retail shops). I do all my buying in Hong Kong, which is duty free and tax free. Fortunately I get there at least once every two months. (As one example, the price of the X-T2 and kit zoom lens was lower in Hong Kong than the price of the X-T2 alone in Manila.)

That's exactly why i got one of those expensive ones (match technical) that is made to fit one specific body, with rubber pads on the back (also made to fit). Meaning no wiggle at all, thus no tension on the hot-shoe. 'Whacking it' would push the thing up against the body, before it would actually pull on the hot-shoe at all, if ever. Thanks to the proper force displacement.
 
But man, that is some bad luck. Good though that you brought it up to warn others.

and it is not even very expensive! That kit is a Kenko 39mm Max PL Kit and costs a very reasonable $29, which, seen the dandy effect of it all, is as cheap as inexpensive fried potatoes!
