GCR I have two xh2s' and one xh2 and used the 16-55 for thousands of images and could not be happier. I too have the F2 23mm and love the combination.

MiBo, I have two XH2S' and one XH2. I bought the XH2S to be my hybrid go-to camera for photojournalism stills and video. It is a magnificent tool in that role. I use them for sports, video, and projects that need speed (burst and autofocus) and no rolling shutter and not the sophistication of the larger senor on the XH2. The video results are extraordinary on the XH2S. I am shooting a feature-length environmental documentary with my XH2S' and the Fuji MKX cine lenses. I bought the XH2 after the XH2S, and my thinking was that I wanted the larger sensor and the ergonomics to match the XH2S; instead of the XT5. I use it for landscapes, portraits, astrophotography, family travels, and projects that would not expose the serious rolling shutter of the XH2. The XH2 with the 40mp sensor produces fantastic high-resolution images that have a high level of color grading tolerance. My best results are achieved using Photolab 7. Both versions have the CFAST express B slots, which I use as my primary storage media, which provide faster write times, longer buffering when in burst mode, and faster read times when importing into a computer. I was disappointed when I learned the GFX100IIS did not have a CFAST-B slot, IMO it is time for professional-grade cameras to offer CFAST-B slots as the primary standard. With the latest firmware versions, the auto-focus performance has improved on both cameras, and for what I shoot, I can get high hit rates when needed. The biggest drawback to the XH2 is rolling shutter, it does not do well in fast-moving sports environments for stills and video. I don't have much to offer in the way of draw-backs to the XH2S. The raw files produce VERY GOOD images, and if you told me I had to let go of one of my three cameras, it would be the XH2, but hope I am not faced with that situation.

Newbie - welcome to the Fuji family. I am a proud owner of an XH2, two XH2s and an x100V. My favorite lens for celestial pix is the Viltrox 13mm, followed closely by the Fuji compact primes 16mm and 23mm F2s. I am also trying to learn DXO Photolab 7, which in my opinion, has the planet's best detail and color-grading capabilities. Definitely turn off the noise reduction setting as mentioned above. I recently tried to shoot the Persieds and stumbled onto the Northern Lights see my IG post here, kinda funny. Have you been able to connect the file transmitter to an IOS phone as a wireless hotspot or any hotspot for that matter? I got the FT-XH to connect using a USB cable after many attempts, but would prefer a wireless connection while shooting.

FYI Update - I just learned that the Zoom F6 & F3 recorder/mixers also synch to the UltraSynch Blue over bluetooth. I am planning to record 32bit float on the F6 and it will have frame accurate matching time-code with my two-XH2S' and one XH2.

RESOLVED - FRAME-ACCURATE TIME CODE ACROSS MULTIPLE FUJIFILM XH2S/XH2. With the recently released 5.10 firmware, it is now possible to jam-synch these cameras to the Atomos Ultrasynch Blue Time Code generator. Bluetooth pairing between XH2S/2 with the Atomos is tricky - turn on the camera, go to TC Settings>Time Code Synch Setting> Pairing Registration, and start the search. Turn on the UltraSynch Blue, go to Bluetooth settings, and start the search. The camera will appear on the Atomos display after a few seconds, select it. On the camera, a message will appear indicating a connection to the Atomos. Now the Atomos is registered with the camera and will appear in the registered devices section of the Bluetooth menu. Going forward turn on the Atomos, on the camera go to>TC settings>Time Code Synch Settings>turn on the "Connect to Atomos AirGlu BT" for each session. To get time of day TC into the Atomos install the Ultra Synch Blue app' on your phone and jam the phone time to the Atomos. According to Fuji and Atomos documentation, it is possible to synch six cameras to the Ultra Synch Blue. I am shooting a documentary with multiple XH2S' and having frame-accurate matching time code is a huge benefit in editing. Thank you Fujifilm!!!!!!! My experience with Delkin cards has been really good for video and stills. I have 4 Delkin 150GB, a 75GB and two 325GB cards all work flawlessly with my XH2 and XH2S, mostly shooting 4k ProRes HQ. I also have the Delkin CFexpress reader, it too works without incident. I have ordered two of the Angel Pro B&H Anniversary 512GB cards which were on sale at a ridiculous price. Hoping they will be my go-to cards for long interviews. For stills work, I use the Delkin cards as my primary cards with SD cards loaded as back-up, just for read/write times potential advantage. Delkin has a seemingly very solid support program they advertise with each card. Fortunately, I haven't had to utilize it, but I have registered every card with them. The Delikin SD cards are a better build than Sandisk. A more solid plastic enclosure with NO lock switch. Hoping I do not have to buy the Angel Bird card reader for firmware updates. My Delkin cards, with my cameras, have performed without issue.

I use both types of cards on my XH2 and XH2S. Some video settings require the CFexpress, which I try to use for all shooting because of the read/write speeds. I shoot landscape, sports, portraits and 4K video. If you stomp on the shutter in continuous shooting mode, speed in the camera and at home when importing is a real thing. I recently switched from Sandisk to Delkin Black, very solid construction and very fast to offload. B&H website states this for the Delkin Devices 150GB BLACK CFexpress Type B Memory Card. Max Read Speed: 1725 MB/s Min Write Speed: 1530 MB/s Worth every penny, I would suggest. Delkin also sells a really robost card reader as well for SD & CFexpress.

Does anyone know how to synch time code between Fuji-X cameras?? One would think the obvious answer would be to connect the cameras to the X app and the time on the camera would lock to the time on the phone. I seem to recall the XT4 had this function. It does not work this way on my XH2 and XH2S. I have only been able to get them close by setting the time manually for each camera. This really needs to be addressed by Fuji especially with these two flagship hybrid (stills and video) cameras.
