  1. Depends on how much kit you actually want to take with you. When cycling either for the day or touring, I go as lightweight as possible and therefore carry my X-T10 with an XF27mm (or XF18mm) attached in a Thinktank Mirrorless Mover 5 on my waist belt. The camera is protected from 'road shocks' (well as much as I am!) and is easily accessible.
  2. No it does not work I'm afraid, nor does it work in IE. When I copy the actual external link address (right click>Copy Link Location) I see: api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_146477738880111&key=61e700ddefb828d4255dd5a4f50a2439&libId=iowqmklz01011507000DAzdlie71&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fuji-x-forum.com%2Ftopic%2F3185-hello-a-question-about-external-links%2F&v=1&out=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fujirumors.com%2F&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fuji-x-forum.com%2Fforum%2F29-newbie-self-introduction%2F&title=Hello%20%2B%20a%20question%20about%20external%20links%20-%20Newbie%20%2F%20Self%20Introduction%20-%20Fuji%20X%20Forum&txt=Fuji%20X%20Rumors%26nbsp%3B Looks very odd to me. I don't get any problems with external links from any other websites/forums. UPDATE! Fixed it. I had to opt out of viglink (whatever that is). I'm now seeing external links without any problems. Wonderful what info one can find with a bit of googling!
  3. Hi I have recently joined the forum. I currently have an X-T10 with Samyang 8mm, XF14, XF18, XF27, XF35 and XF60 lenses - with my eye on an XF23! I use the 18 and 27 for when I need to go small and ultra-lightweight when backpacking and cycling, the 14,35 and 60 when I am out specifically to take photos and the Samyang just for fun! I'm looking at the 23 so I have a smallish/lightish travel kit - i.e. 14+23 + either 35 or 60 depending on where I am going. As you can see I prefer primes to zooms. I do have one question though... How do you get external links to work? Whenever I click on one in a post, a new browser tab is opened with exactly the same URL as the forum page the link comes from....i.e. I just get another copy of the originating forum page. Is there some setting I have to change/make? I am running Firefox v46 on Windows 10. David
