Mine xpr2 only heats up by using single shot mode (still frame).
It doesnt even get warm in 3fps or 8fps.
Also have Issue with black frame in single shot mode

Just an update on my newly replaced X-Pro2: it also has the turn off/turn on problem. I'm guessing it's just a problem that they all have, and one that Fuji will have to fix.
