Thank you, for your answer, but shutter speed at 1/250 handheld is too low. I use at least 1/1250 .

I have just bought an adaptor to my XT-1 to fit a Canon lense. The adaptor has no electrical connections to the camera. My queston is: Is there any trick to set the aperture to a certain value? Otherwise the aperture is set to 2.8
