Yeah, I thought that might be the case, but no, the subject was several meters away. Just went out again yesterday, Didn't have any trouble so far, but didn't used zone focus very much this time.

No, it's not an issue with the zone itself. The camera thinks it has focus lock, actually shows the focus point green on screen, at the spot I want focus, but focus is still way off. The times en encountered this, I had it on 3x5 mode.

So, I got myself a barely used XF90 a few weeks ago. I really love this thing. The sharpness at f2 is just mad! I noticed one problem however, and I'm not sure if it's the lens or a body firmware thing: If I have focus close to infinity, and want to focus on something close (using zone focus), the camera appears to grab focus on the close subject, but the subject remains out of focus. A repeat focusing does not fix this. Change focus mode to single however seems to fix the problem. Did anybody else notice this?

Do you think the X-PRO2 will have a better viewfinder than the X-E2? I guess, they will be about the same size. That would mean that the other features outweigh the viewfinder size? Anyway, I really love the new X-E2 firmware. It really is a brand new camera. I did some quick test this weekend with some photo's inside with bad light and lots of people: seems to work very well (XF35 and XF16-55). That was a real nightmare with the previous version.
