Just reading that the new Canon EOS R ...Bluetooth is constantly on? Talk about wasting power and a little bit big brother? Is the new Fuji XT3 Bluetooth on constantly? Or can it be turned on and off?

Would this effect my Canon RAW Files? -
Im a little puzzled with loading my Fuji RAW files into Photoshop Bridge, as the files look slightly muddy? The camera is set RGB and Bridge is set RGB and yet when the files show up in Bridge, for a few seconds they look ok, then they get changed automatically, to a slightly muddy look, with no contrast and slightly darker? Which means i have to manually work on them to bring them back. Is this the Fuji Provia / velvia etc settings not being seen correctly in Bridge? Any advise would be helpful.

Focus not bad, just zooming and recomposing while firing as stated earlier.... From Fuji kindly confirming what my issue is..... Quote : - In the OVF the Bright frame will freeze on the focal length at the start of the burst but the EVF and LCD do change if you zoom in or out although the effect display will be staggered. "Staggered" is a understatement, as following action is a challenge... group of people walking towards me. Not even high speed action.. So yes a DSLR is called for. But will stick to the primes, so my 16-55 will be on eBay very soon! : ) The Fujifilm X World Team

I guess so.....i expected more from the Fuji X pro 2 I'm not a "Spray and Pray man"... : ) Im just able to consider more than one frame...in an normal action scene! And not get one good frame....but a series of good considered shots. Or i wouldn't be employed very much. So yes DSLR's are more suitable with Zooms for commercial action photography.....

Thank you, will read...but as mentioned before The focusing isn't that bad......its changing the focal length mid shooting.....i don't shoot one focal length and leave it at that i continue shooting at 8 fps i expect to be able to do this even with the optical viewfinder. if i release shutter, i can change focal length.....but the delay in doing this i miss the action......
-
Well it did mention it could do it....like most other PRO cameras on the market? Didn't have the freedom to test on different jobs and handing back! Its becoming a back up camera in my kit or more a documentary camera only! Im 70% happy with it. "The simple shot i refer to was a group of people walking fast towards me!!!! I missed the end part as i couldn't zoom wider" The focusing isn't that bad......its changing the focal length mid shooting.....i don't shoot one focal length and leave it at that i change and continue shooting at 8 fps i expect to be able to do this even with the optical viewfinder.

It will zoom, but locks in the viewfinder at the stage you start shooting at, on 8fps ...if you release shutter then the viewfinder will let you see, what you have changed the focal length too. I really like the camera, for its lightness and silent usage, not usable under Florissant lighting at shutter speeds over 125th or you get banding, due to the scanner action on the sensor. ( Which happens on all mirrorless cameras ) but for a moving subject and changing a focal length i would call this a basic requirement on a camera, not so good!....unless your subject matter doesn't move and you will always be happy at one focal length........then i guess its a camera that suits some people. For me unfortunately it will be a 50% split for me with my DSLR cameras...

Hi, Dan Ive always thought that my 5Dk3 was much slower on tracking than my old 1Dmk3....so I'm still in the testing process with my Fuji x pro 2 and feel its pretty much on par with the 5Dk3 it could be a little better? But more importantly the lack of re adjusting on zoom length while shooting is a little frustrating.... I always shoot RAW as my clients require it. Its funny i don't want total sharpness, maybe clarity compared to my Canon 24-70 mk2...but changing settings a little in camera has given me this.
-
I like my X PRO 2 .... still testing on jobs.. Problem No.1 changing focal length while shooting continuously doesn't work!!!! With optical and digital...you have to release shutter then it allows zooming wider as e.g..I missed action shots, not good. The auto focus is i guess on par with Canon 5D 3 which is not fantastic in it self. Using 16-55mm 2.8 is not nice at f2.8 unlike my 24-70 f2.8 mk2 Canon lens. When using the zoom, i had to go into the camera settings to slightly sharpen to match the canon lens...but remember to reset when using a prime lenses, or it will much to crisp! Am i missing something here........?

Thank you for the info, So its close to the XT-1 thats good. So im a little confused on the term electronic shutter and the manual shutter on this camera? Can you explain please. ....If wanted it as silent as possible, couldn't i keep it on Electronic shutter all the time, with every shutter speed possible? What can't i do under this mode? Cheers G

And now Canon are launching their Mirrorless camera??? Now i have to wait!!! It was so close to ordering the x pro 2....

Sony UK took 8 weeks to return my Sony camera....first saying 5-6 days?? Had to wait for part to be sent, no rental.... No Sony pro centre set up here in the UK yet? Canon have a 3 day turn around, if not fixed a loan camera is given. I want to move to Fuji, but a little unsure how they are here on fixing cameras for pros?
