The valley of mines

The Germanasca Valley (Piedmont) was a mining valley for many years. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, talc and copper were extracted until the veins ran out, making extraction unprofitable. Today, the ancient mines can be visited with guided tours that allow you to fully understand the harshness of the miners' work.
