(Where FUD = Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt, with the implication that they are not justfied.) >>>>>>>>> https://www.flickr.com/groups/fujifilmxe2/discuss/72157650359691610/ Avoid adapters without an added leaf spring, many are eliminating the part completely and cutting a slit in the lugs of the adapter which is supposed to act like a compression spring. The metal alloy however is rigid and not intended to be elastic or hold memory, eventually breakage will occur and metal shards will become unattached inside the adapter and threaten your lens, shutter, or sensor/sensor cover. <<<<<<<<<< Has anyone ever experienced this problem, or known anyone who did??? And are any brands of adapter to be especially avoid - sought out?

Hello! New here and looking for some help. I recently purchased the view camera adapter g for use with my Cambo legend 4x5 camera, using a 135mm Schneider 5.6 lens. I have done everything I can think of and cannot get it to infinity focus. It will only focus on a very close object. Ruled out the camera and lens as I get perfect focus on the ground glass. Given that the sensor is far from the ground glass, read that it could be corrected with a recessed lens board. I tried this and there was no change in the focal length so thinking the lens and focal length is not the issue. I’ve seen others use this adapter successfully online so I think there must be a solution. Can anybody help? If you’ve been successful what settings on your camera did you use?
