This is a cement statue of an animal in the yard of a hotel that was built in Crucita, Ecuador named Hotel Castillo. It was to be a major tourist resort, but it never opened to the public and now sits in ruins.

  8. Buenas Dias. My name is Kevin Demers and I am a Canadian expat from Vancouver, BC currently calling the UNESCO city of Cuenca, Ecuador my home. I have been living here now full-time for a year and loving every minute of it. My photography interest was conceived back at the age of 12 while watching my Dad and Grandfather use their camera gear to create "magic" and I was hooked. Started out with a Kodak Brownie and went through several other brands of cameras such as a Pentax K1000, Canon Rebel, Contax RTS II, Nikon F3HP, Pentax K10D, Nikon D300 and now my Fuji X-E2. My current photo "genre" is Urban or Street with some landscape/seascape and architectural shots thrown into the mix of images. My new home is a plethora of image choices and I have yet to exhaust all the types it has to offer. I am mostly self taught with the help of other seasoned photographers. I also enrolled in and successfully completed the photo course offered by the Photography Institute. I have had several of my images published in the premiere photography publication, Inspired Eye, and my images of Detroit 1985 were featured as a photo-essay in Issue 26. I am happy to be a part of this community, and I hope that some of my work will inspire others and look forward to being inspired by you. Muchas Gracias Amigo's Kevin Demers October 12th, 2015
  9. Name is Kevin and I am a Canadian Expat from Vancouver Island but originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I was an avid Nikon user, but discovered the amazing FujiFilm X-E2 and have not regretted the switch since. My main shooting preference is B&W and my main interest as of late is Street or Urban photography. I look forward to being a part of this community and hope my contributions will be of some value to you, my peers.
