It doesn't matter so much about the country of manufacture any more. The important thing is the quality control standards in place at the factory. Guess that's a different way of saying what one of the first respondents in this thread said: the warranty's the important thing as it puts the weight of head office behind the product. I live in a country where Japanese pickups are prolific. Most if not all are now built in Thailand, but there's no difference in build quality and reliability compared to those from Japanese factories.
