  1. Thank you Patrick for the warm welcome and the tips - can't wait to get on the road and get the camera out. I will definitely bare in mind your recommendations. New Zealand is a great place for Landscapes and Astro photography - the south Island is a must! I'm in Auckland, but am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel the length and breadth of the country with my work. I've made it my mission to make sure the camera comes with me from now on. Don't forget to get in touch if you head this way. Thanks.
  2. Hi, Steve here from New Zealand. I've had an X-T1 for about 8 months. I use the Fuji 23 mm and 56 mm, as well as a Samyang 12 mm. I do have a 55-230 (which i picked up for pennies) and the standard 18-55 (which hasn't been on the camera since I got the primes). I love astro at the moment - https://www.flickr.com/photos/31144837@N06/ - come over and say Hi. I'm heading off on a 6 week jaunt to Japan - which I love! (Hiroshima, Kyoto and Tokyo), UK, Belgium, Italy (Amalfi and Rome) and Greece (Santorini and Athens). If you have any tips or advise, I'd be pleased to hear from you. One query that bought me to this site is I get colour aberration on my 23 mm when I use a polarising filter. I guess the obvious answer will be to get the most expensive polarising filter ever produced. I haven't tried to hard to get rid of it in Lightroom yet. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who also gets this or has found a way around it. Looking forward to making some new photo friends. Pop over and say Hi. Steve
