[XT2, strange problem, black frames.]

By any chance are you using bracketing and electronic shutter or mechanical plus electronic shutter?  On my X-A3 with V2 firmware I get a black frame when bracketing if the scene is very bright.   The strange thing is it can happen at 1/10,000 even though this is not maxing out the electronic shutter, I will get 2 frames with images and one frame completely black in the group of 3.  So it might be something to do with the readout speed when bracketing.

The one big advantage Fuji has over M43 is very clean files at base ISO.   An ISO 200 image from my X-A1 (yes I know bayer CFA) kicks my OMD out of the park when you pixel peek.  With the G8 moving to a higher resolution sensor I wouldn't expect to see the base ISO noise getting any better.

Hey man, would you mind posting a pic of your lens? (mounted on the camera too, if it's not too much to ask, but not as important)

- I find multiple versions of the lens that are very different looking, so I assume the design might differ as well

 

The second photo bokeh and the third photo background foliage ... damn ... it looks so old, film-like, and awesome

Hi Joel, if you want to get a jupiter-11 on a Fuji-x you can either get a LTM39 or a Contax Yashica Mount.  

 

CY mount use - Nikon(s)-FX adaptor

LTM39 use - LTM-FX adaptor

I agree about the Jupiter-11, 135mm f4.  Very compact and sharp lens with a creamy defocus.
