  1. It's similar to what happens to my XT-5 and Oneplus phone. For those of us with OnePlus/Oppo phones we get told the connection has been lost. So it might be another aspect of the problem, though so far at least it has looked like Samsung and Google phones were working OK. Judging by the number of people who have problems after firmware updates, I find it difficult to understand why Fuji can't make it possible to downgrade. At least then you could back out of something nasty. Good luck.
  2. It's a problem with the camera and phone not agreeing on how to manage the pairing. It appears to only affect phones from Oppo, OnePlus, and any other brand that uses the same oppo/OnePlus version of Android. My xt-5 was broken by a recent firmware update in exactly the same way. As far as I'm aware it's a problem with the camera firmware NOT the X-App. It's disappointing (to say the least) that this isn't going to be fixed. Also the remark that it only works with stock android is nonsense, since there are plenty of people out there with Samsung phones. What they meant was, we can't be bothered to test it on ColourOs. It would appear that Fuji are, gradually ensuring that ALL their cameras don't work with ColourOs which doesn't seem like the smartest move...
  3. Still doesn't work for me. There was an Android update to my Oneplus last week and that's not helped me at all. Please explain in more detail. I don't see how you do this without using bluetooth, and it's the pairing operation that fails. What phone were you using? Android version?
  4. Yup. It's not a good look. Of course, depending on the precise problem it's probably forced them to completely redo all of their alpha, beta, system and acceptance testing for bluetooth support for IOS, Samsung etc as well as the Oneplus/Oppo stable. So TBH I doubt we'll see anything until the end of September, they won't want to rush it and bork IOS or Samsung support.
  5. > Yes it is most definitely a compatibility issue. I use the X-App to geolocate my photos. Or I did until this. It's unfortunate that this problem is related to Bluetooth comms, but for testing changes in that area you'd have expected them to have used a wider range of phones as part of beta test. However, we are where we are. All the more reason then to allow users the opportunity to back out firmware that breaks their systems. On the Fuji support web site the firmware update instructions don't come with a health warning for OnePlus, Oppo and Realme phone users so they don't end up in the situation we are in. Waiting for a fix, not holding my breath.
  6. I upgraded to 4.3.0 and bluetooth broke, downloaded 4.3.1 and upgraded via SD card and bluetooth continued to be broken.
  7. The focus thing is really annoying. Stuff that my Canon 7d mk1 would snap to without any problem at all just seem to baffle the Fuji. An extended flat surface and some sorts of cloud seem to baffle it. It can be worked around of course, but it really shouldn't be a problem in the first place. As for the rest your list, can't say I've had those. As the earlier comment says, it might be worth getting yours checked out.
  8. Prior to this I had a camera that would connect to my Oneplus12 (Android 15.0.0.840) via bluetooth. I did the update all appeared to be well though I didn't check the bluetooth connectivity. Then I saw the 4.3.1 bugfix update and tried to apply that through the X app ( version 2.5.1(1) ). Was told I needed to re-pair my camera. Tried to and couldn't. At the point where I have to confirm the security codes I confirm the pairing on the phone, then on the camera and the camera display sits waiting for the pairing confirmation and there's a message on the X App that tells me there was a communication error that prevented pairing. Eventually camera disconnects from phone. If I try confirming the camera then the phone I end up in the same place. I've deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted the phone. Nothing seems to make any difference. I did the update to 4.3.1 via SD card and nothing appears to have changed W.R.T bluetooth. Any ideas?
