  1. For fear of stating the obvious, is it *definitely* not turning on? I had a similar situation where I thought it wasn't turning on, but I had just inadvertently pressed the 'view mode' button (to the right of the EVF) with the effect of switching off the LCD; since then I keep it mainly in 'EVF only + eye sensor' mode. Again apologies if this is an exercise in teaching granny how to suck eggs, but sometimes the obvious can be overlooked.

It was so obvious that .... it was only after reading your post that I thought about it. I had one of my 2 cameras not being used for a while and today when I started it... all was black and did not notice anything strange. Just thought it did not work.

Thanks MikeG for opening my eyes¡¡

  2. i have the same experience and it has nothing to do with auto brightness. I tried all kind of Settings (and i'm no amateur) and the preview you see on evf or on the screen changes when you actually take the pic.

Try it yourself, you can see it best when you take a dark picture. The final image is brighter and less saturated than the preview.

I tested the same with the x-t1 and its much less obvious.

So i think its a bug of the x-t2 and i hope fuji will address it with a firmware update

Hello there, I have been with my XT2 for something like 2 months now and I have also noticed what you mention and is  shown in a video here.

thought it was a EVF Brightness inaccuracy and have played around it with different values, -1, -2. even -3 , on the outside and with bright daylight.

I thought it could be that but.... as per your post ...looks like we are now looking for something different.

In the interiors... looks like it is better and there is not such big difference but still not as good as  on XT1.

    That´s my personal experience.

  3. Hello ,

more than color inaccuracy on the EVF I have noticed Brightness inaccuracy. I have played around it with different values and I still haven´t found  the correct one.  -1, -2. even -3 on the outside and with bright daylight.

In the interiors... looks like Auto is not doing bad but still not Auto nor Manual are as good as they are on XT1.

    That´s my personal experience.

What do you think about it??

  4. Ok.  Now don't flame me or hate me.  The initial impression I have after popping off maybe 30-40 shots, indoors is:  IT SUCKS.  I used the X-T1 with my 18-55.  Very few images using zone focus came out, and less than 1/2 of the eye detection images were in focus.  I need much, much more shooting, but for now, that is my opinion, and Im sticking to it.  My next steps are to test the X-T1 with the 35mm F1.4  We'll see where this goes.

Totally agree with that. Yesterday I went out to practice and very few images were in focus neither with zone focus neither with wide focus.

Also I do not understand what happens in Wide focus as I set the focus point and then it automatically moves around the whole screen with focus points. I want it to be where I put it not to be changing. It also might be that I am doing something wrong.

    Regards :)
