I have the same problem. I'm not sure it's strectly related with the v5.0 firmware because I rarely used this option but I have the same result. It's impressive that it stuck with the same storing message eve if you turn off the camera! I'm pretty sure it's a software bug, I've tried with different SD cards and anyway the other "normal" photos has no problems.
