The 240p on the X-H2S is beyond awful. Something with the new stacked sensor design. Essentially, pretend it does not exist and you'll be much happier. If you have the X-T4, use that for 240p.
The 4K120, on the other hand, I find to be excellent. The 6.2K open gate is also excellent. When you say "on your screen" it looks bad, do you mean while monitoring it? Do you mean after you've shot it? Are you using the built in monitor, or an external monitor? I don't find the on camera monitoring problematic.

Works for me. Try shooting ProRes (that's what I shoot everything in).

Jon, a few questions. What editor are you using? What color space are you working in? And also, have you tried actually outputting this footage?
I have had artifacts randomly appear in Resolve when transforming using a LUT while in Davinci Wide Gamut. These artifacts do not appear on the exported footage, so for me it's just a display thing. The artifacts do not appear when using a DCTL transform node.

What kind of hard drive are your files on? I was having slow playback from my video. I moved clips over to an SSD and things sped up immensely.
Ah, just saw you said you tried SSD. Yeah, switch to Prores in that case. It edits smoothly for me from an SSD.

I would do some tests with IBIS and OIS only and see if that improves. I don't have an OIS lens right now, but that's a test I've been wanting to do.

Hmmmm. What is your shooting mode? Maybe a dumb question, but did you somehow turn on the ADV. Filters mode? The vignette almost looks like how the "Toy Camera" mode looks.

Request for file sent. What focal length and aperture do they show up at? If you stop down a bit that might help to get rid of it.

I like these. Especially the Nikon style ISO hold and release switch. Would be way faster and more intuitive. I will add a few:
- Improve the FHD240 on the X-H2S. It is incomprehensible that it is as bad as it is. Just why?
- Option to turn off NR entirely. The -4 still has some NR.

Option to output 4K signal through HDMI while recording 6.2K open gate internally. I have searched for this in the menu system and have not found it anywhere, so I am guessing it isn't currently an option. Also, I don't know if it's possible, processing-wise. But if it is, I would like to see it.
- Turns out if you turn on HDMI Info in the output settings it will send out a 4K signal of your 6.2K open gate that any 4K monitor can read. Seems like adding a clean 4K output of it is not only possible then, but should be a no-brainer.
- Anamorphic desqueeze modes.
- More video monitoring options like vectorscope and waveform. This is low priority for me though. It's a small screen, and I can monitor this stuff externally (if I can monitor at all, which I can't currently in 6.2K!)
- ADDED: Locked 3-axis IBIS mode for wide angle lenses to get rid of the wobbling.
- ADDED: Object Tracking AF mode for video. For some reason just realized it's only a photo AF mode right now. But the fact that it exists makes me hopeful it could be added to video.
Other than these things, I am pretty happy with my X-H2S. I do not see what others are complaining about in the colors, etc., though maybe I will when I start editing more. Who knows. But the output I've seen from the camera looks superb. If I find limitations, I'll work with it.

I can say yes to this question. F-Log is 12bit readout at all speeds. I use it for when I need faster readout (fast action and lots of camera movement), and it does great.
I'm not sure as to the other questions. I would be interested to hear what people know about those.
