I haven't had any freezes sincethe new firmware. I think it solved my problem. I'm a happy shooter now.

Yeah, that must be the problem ;-) Check the recommended card at the bottom of this page: http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/compatibility/card/x/ I bought these cards because they were recommended by Fujifilm repair ... But I hope this will solve the problem! In that case I’ll be happy buy new cards.

I use the new battery's, I have fast cards, I tried the Power Booster Grip ...

That is what they did to my camera, the problems remaines, it's now of for a second attempt ;-( I'm looking for a lighter option for my Nikon DSLR's. But this freezing doesn't make it a viable option. I'm using the camera professionally.
