  1. I don't think anyone is arguing that the X-Pro2 doesn't take great photos. Myself, and maybe others, are just disappointed the EVF is pretty poor, worse then any other digital carama I've used. I really enjoy the proces of taking photos with Fujis, from the X-E1 I have to the X-T10. The X-Pro 2, for me, should have been the ultimate experience with the OVF/EVF combination. I just find it a disappointing aesthetic experience. I'd to just use the OVF, but I can't always. If the X-Pro2 was a $600 entry camera, then great, but I'm leaning towards just waiting on the X-T2 now. Would, at some point, at least understand why the EVF is poor. Everything else with the camera is very high quality and thought out.
  2. Since the cooler EVF is apparently a problem on the X-Pro1 too, Fuji is likely to not adjust it on the X-Pro2. I'm not sure why there couldn't be a configurable option, but maybe the quality of the screen isn't as good based on how the OVF/EVF functionality works. I think if I'd focus more on the LCD for landscapes, and other work, I'd lean towards the X-T2, based on having (presumably) a tilting LCD. The X-Pro2 really seems geared to users using the EVF/OVF combination, which is why I'm surprised the EVF is so inaccurate. Checking white balance aside, the EVF really ruins the impact of choosing different film modes and seeing their effect during composing/shooting. I enjoy the pleasing 'color's the Fuji produces, which is one of the more fun points of using the Fuji, that is taken away in the X-Pro2, for me at least. X-T1 EVF looks pretty amazing.
  3. I just received my X-Pro 2 yesterday, and when I brought the camera into work, a co-worker immediately noticed the blueish/cool tint of the EVF. Of course, now that's all I see, so I'm fairly disappointed. The points above are valid, its hard to judge white balance and judge the impact of the various film simulations, beyond the fact the EVF image just looks poor now to me. I planned to try the OVF a fair amount, but imagine I'd switch to the EVF to validate how the actually shot will come out. The difference in color is pretty jarring then. I've never noticed this issue with my X-T10, which I think has a much more accurate EVF. Unfortunate, as I was considering selling my Nikon D810 and lenses to make a full switch to Fuji. Now I need to wait for the X-T2. I realize, in theory, that 16MP is usually more then enough, but after coming from the Nikon, I really wanted to upgrade to a 24MP sensor. The X-T10 and couple lenses I had have really impressed me, but now I'm fairly disappointed with the X-Pro2.
