Lamy Rail Station
Lamy rail station, built around 1909, is the place to catch an Amtrak East-West passenger. It's located 17 miles south of Santa Fe down an unpaved road. Why such a remote train station? Mountains on the East and West sides of Santa Fe prevented the Santa Fe Railroad from building tracks any closer.
