  2. I would like to know why you dont wait until you have used it for more than a few hours before answering questions, then if you have used it under different conditions ect, then we can ask questions that will receive informative answers.
  3. The Canon compatable release from ebay have a lock and are dirt cheap, mine has worked no probs for 12 months, and its as light as a feather just keep in my bag, a little bit of searching on the net will answer all your questions about the subject, if you can be bothered.
  4. I have recently tried a different printing lab in the UK with great results, its called DSCL. They have Fujifilm logo on the invoice so presume they use paper ect from them. I had a 16x16 inch black and white image done on Fine art Portrait white paper and it is superb, a matt finish that has deep blacks and brilliant whites and very thick, it was £11.66 plus vat, the other paper I used for the color prints was Titanium Lustre, similar to a metalic look and that also was perfect for deep popping color, three prints 12x8 inch £17.49 plus vat, the whole order came to £39.76 including £3.99 postage. I have also used Fujicreate for black and white on photographic paper which were great but not the same deep finish from the other paper mentioned. For photobooks I use CEWE Photoworld, photographic paper, superb quality and I always have the lie flat pages, not cheap but very good quality for doing a special book of a holiday or project, and any problem and they always re print at no charge, customer service is brilliant, I try to design the book and order when they have an offer on which is a few times a year. Another printing Lab I have used is Loxley colour in Scotland, pro service, the ordering set up (roes) takes some getting used to but have had large prints 24x16 and 30x10 with fast turnaround and well packaged, a little more expensive.
  5. Using an X-T1 and processing in Lr and saving as jpeg 300dpi, I have had prints done up to 30 inches on the long side from Loxley color in Scotland on gloss paper and the results are amazing.
  6. Knowing how hard it is to do street photography I recon you did a good job, it has a story, and its interesting to look at, job done. There is a growing custom to try and find fault rather than just enjoy what is shown, we all have different tastes and likes.
  7. Its a small thing but if you dont know about it, it will drive you crazy. I have used my X-T1 for a year now, but while out shooting in Lacock a lock icon came on screen when I wanted to use the D buttons to change the focus point. Some how I had pressed the OK button for a few seconds and it locks the settings, so just press the OK button again to unlock, a simple error I know, but it took me ages to find out what I had done.
  8. I only have the 14mm f2.8 but still see a small improvement with focusing in low light and static objects, not tried tracking yet, and I look foreward to using the other improvements. The one point I wanted to ask was getting into the different settings if you have chosen the 4 pads as a means to move your focus spot, on the Fuji guy's vid he used the bottom pad to access the focus mode menu, this cannot be done if you have chosen the 4 pads to quickly access and change your focus point, this means to change the focus mode I have to go into the menue which is a bit of a slow way round. Any ideas?
  9. The 14mm does very well with an r72 filter, no hot spots.
  10. Get the best you can afford
  11. I was at Brighton in windy conditions with a lot of spray close to the waters edge for about half an hour with no problems, and the 14mm was on at the time, of course another half hour was spent cleaning after.
  12. I got the Peak Design hand strap but although well made its not perfect for the X-T1, its awkward to reach the shutter button, it would work great on the Sony range of A7r's due to the shutter being more forward, in fact thats the one thing I wish Fuji had done.
  13. I use the Hadley small for my X-T1 & 14MM, Canon 50mm f1.4, Metabones adapter, Lee big stopper, Lee little stopper, Lee polarizer, all in tins, Lee adapter and two rings. blower, remote, spare battery. and believe it or not a MeFoto carbon tripod, Its a super light bag and waterproof, thats what put me off leather, more weight and heavy when wet.
