Software for astrophotography that supports Fuji. Is there a "BackyardFuji"

Hi.

In the Astrophotography world most people end up using software like BackyardEOS or BackyardNikon

and others to automate the process. For a deep space session you need may to take 300 x300sec exposures with dark frames and flats. The software manages this from a computer, and then prepares for, or in more extensive packages,  begins to, process the shots, stacking them removing noise etc.

Despite for years have a crap low noise response sensor Canon has dominated the field due its ease of use with such software.

Fuji sensors seem to have a great H1 hydrogen emission response and look great in the few manually exposed sequences that I have done.

Does anyone know of any software that allows me to automate the process with Fuji? or if you are using Fuji in your Astrophotography whats your process/software stack?

I really don't want to have to convert every raw to a tiff.....

A few years later...  There is software that will allow enough remote control of some Fuji cameras for astrophotography.

The Indi server (https://indilib.org/) along with Kstars/Ekos allows me to run my Fuji X-T3 (and mount) remotely. I use a Raspberry Pi on the mount running the Indi server and connect to it (Ethernet or wifi) from my Mac laptop. It took a bit of sorting out (but I'm new to this field).

For processing I'm currently using Siril (free) with the RAW files for preprocessing the calibration files and stacking. (there are other full-feature astro picture processing programs out there too, but free is nice). Post processing is done using a combination of the Gimp or Affinity Photo.

A few more years later...

I'm using Indigosky on a Raspberry Pi to control my XT5 and mount. https://www.indigo-astronomy.org/indigo-sky.html

Have it paired to Indigo D1 running on my Mac https://www.cloudmakers.eu/d1/

Works well and can control the camera.

Couldn't get Kstars/Ekos to work reliably with my XT3 and not at all with my XT5.

Siril for processing raw files.

      Somehow my shutter fell off my X-a5. On Amazon, there are a number of camera shutter buttons for Fuji cameras. My first thought was that I could just purchase one of these and be ready to go. But after checking these out, it appears that these shutter buttons are for cameras with a screw hole in the shutter button and the X-a5 doesn't have this kind of shutter and even if it did, the shutter is gone.  I called Fuji and they wouldn't even discuss it or accept my photo above to view it, they said I had to send it in which I'm not ready to do. One more update... I just stuck a pin through the center opening of the small center hole and the shutter activated and took a picture. Seems like there could possibly be something to attach there, like a replacement release to remedy this. Based of my explanation and what you can see on this scan, can someone advise me what I need to purchase or what I need to do to resolve this? Thank you.

      Yes Is some small amount leftover from the spot i cleaned. Inside only very less point of dust,yes my be are from manufacture Is very microscopic. anyway on pictures i not see dust and i not see the spot i clean. thankyou so much for your reply Is beautiful im Happy.Have a good day

      Are you certain the spot is on the inside and not some small amount leftover from the spot you cleaned? Maybe try a different brand of lens cleaner, but make sure it is safe for lenses so that the lens coatings are not removed. Even weather resistant lenses can get dust inside, the seals can only keep out so much dust and zoom lenses are known to get dusty on occasion. More so than prime lenses do. Weather resistant means more sealing, but achieving perfect sealing is tough to get. It is also possible the dust has been there from the time it was manufactured and you are only now noticing because of the white dot. Does the dust show up in any of your photos? As far as cleaning cost goes, your local camera repair shop will be able to give you some estimates, prices will be different depending on where you are.
