Circular polarizer on my X T2

May not be a issue but I seem to have one.

I have a circular polarizer that I previously used with my Pentax System. Since changing to Fujiffilm when I use it on my XT2 the effect is uneven across the frame.

I use a good Tiffin filter , but it is not one of the newest with all of the coatings. Could this be related to the X trans Sensor? My previous had a Bayer configuration.

If this is not a usual issue I will submit a few images for review...….before I spend big bucks on B+W or another high end brand.

Are you seeing what's referred to as 'banding' in areas when using a CPL or are you seeing a different degree of polarization in one corner vs. others? The problem with CPL's is, the effective degree of light polarization changes across the sky with respect to the angle of the sun to the axis of the lens. I find I must often accept a smaller but more uniform effect over the full frame vs. optimum in one corner. One very obvious way to test this is to take the same image on a Pentax camera and one on your Fuji using the same polarizing filter.

IF a polarizer is used with a wide-angle (such as the 16 1.4 or 12mm 2.8 it will show different effects where the sky will be darker in one area of the sky opposed to the other.

I use Singh-Ray Warming Polarizer -- and even with the wide's I still get the "discoloration"
