Hi - I got a X Pro 2 for Christmas and have jus set it up.

Put the battery in  and my two cards (SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC Memory Card up to 95 MB/s, Class 10, U3, V30 - 64GB) and I formatted them both.

When I then tried to take a photograph it would not take one ?

The display work and I've put the language and date in there too?

Any ideas please?

Something else you could check: go into the AF&MF menu, then to Release/Focus Priority on p.2 of that menu. If your AF-S and/or AF-C priority selection is set to "Focus", then the camera won't take a picture unless the image is properly in focus. (I keep mine set to "Release" for both, even if it means a few out-of-focus shots).

It might also be an idea to re-format your cards before trying again.

The camera turns on?
If you turn on you should verify that the cards are not blocked. Sometimes the insurance slips without a warning.
