Prime lenses " what to choose "

Hi Guys ,

I've purchased a X-T20 with XF 18-55 and 55-200mm recently

And want to get 2 primes :  never mind the noise or AF speed all i want is sharpness wide open and above

I'm confused Between ( XF 27mm f2.8 and XF 23mm f2 )for All walk around

and (XF 50mm f2 or 60mm f2.4 macro ) for portraits and some close up shots

Thanks for reply :)

I have 27mm, 23f2 and 35f2. As I prefer 35mm focal length over 23mm I use 35mm when I've got any sort of bag with me and 27mm when there is just a pocket where I can store my cam. I see no differences in IQ and sharpness but 35mm is faster and longer so can provide good bokeh while 27mm doesn't have this feature.

What about 50mm and 60mm if only you are not in a bad need for a macro shooting take 50mm. 60mm has a great IQ but almost useless for street and reportage due its slow focusing nature.

27mm vs. 23mm is a straight choice between size and sharpness.  Had 3 day trial with the 23mm but bought a 27mm without testing because I was also getting a 14mm.  23mm wins hands-down for sharpness and colour but love the size of 27mm for a relatively discrete walkabout.  Still, if money no object I'd buy the 23mm as well because it is IMO a superior lens and not too large either

This is the equivalent of 43 minutes, 40 seconds of exposure. NGC 1502 is a neat little cluster located in the Camelopardalis Constellation. This region of space was thought to be fairly empty by early astronomers, but as you can see, there is a lot there. Kemble's Cascade (a.k.a. Kemble 1) is named for Father Lucian Kemble, a Canadian Franciscan friar who wrote about it to Walter Scott Houston, an author for the Sky And Telescope magazine. Houston named the asterism for Fr. Kemble and the name "stuck". NGC 1501 is the Oyster Nebula. A longer focal length telescope is needed to bring this one into good viewing range, but it is well worth the effort. • Looking for input; there are some decent deals and might want to take advantage to expand my lenses for my 100s already own: 110/2 32-64 35-70 100-200 + TC   Shooting mostly family shots, bringing my kit to capture family outings indoors and out. Tracking the 63/43 effective FLs on the two, but has anybody used both? Would the 55 (covered by two zooms right now) be redundant? Would the 80 be too similar in character to my 110 for portraiture?
    • See what I mean? Two instantaneous ads. Worthless.
    • What's the deal Fuji X Forum? I'm noticing there are seldom replies to any topics - except for advertisements posted as replies. Really lame. Anyone else noticing the only reply they receive to a question is an advert?  🤠 fotomatt in Colorado
