Cañon de San Diego

After dropping Diana at the airport around 6am, I headed for the Jemez Mountains. My plan was to drive the full length of NM 4 through the canyons and mountains, and hike the Las Conchas trail. It was almost daybreak, so I stopped until the sun was beginning to rise.

The cañon is near the southern end of the road. The rock cliffs are spectacular, to say the least, especially in the early morning light.
