Hey,

my first camera was an Asahi Pentax SP 1000 with a Takumar 50 mm, f1:1.4 - it exists and works today still. Therefore it was a déjà vu when Fujifilm introduced X-E1 and 35 mm, f1:1.4. Until this moment I buyed only bridges because I was afraid about the dust problem of interchangeable lenses.

The dust is a problem really. But the image quality and the wide contrast range let me decide to restart with interchangeable lenses. Still the right decision. The images need less rework - a little contrast tuning - sometimes RAW, that is it.

Later I switched to X-E2 due to the faster AF. My camera today.

Beside the 35 mm I love using my 14 mm for travel photography. Beside the standard 18-55 mm I use the 55-200 mm especially for macro and nature photography.

I post my photos on picasa. There you will find some picture with the ancient Takumar, a little bit soft but proper for portaits.

Best regards

Peter
