Is possible live view in a Mac via HDMI? No tethering.

Hi

 

In the X-T2. Is it possible to see live view in an iMac or MacBook, the same view that you have in the camera's screen, through the micro HDMI port? I have contacted both the camera and the computer but couldn't find the way to make this happen.  Is there any thread or suggestion for this question.

Nope, the HDMI on a Mac is video-out only. It cannot accept any incoming video. 

 

It is technically possible on an iPad but no one ever made an app/cable for that

I know there is software for microscope's dedicated cameras that you connect the camera to the microscope and can see live view in a Mac, I guess via USB. I thought that could be possible with a Mac via HDMI.
