Two manual lenses and X-T1

Hi,

 

I have Samyang 12mm and I'm planning to buy another manual lens.

 

In Mount Adapter Settings there is option to select focal length of the lens. For Samyang I simply set it to 12mm and forgot.

 

The question is if I have to change it every time I change lens on another manual one? Does x-t1 add some correction based on that parameter? Or it is there only for adding information to exif data?

 

I'm shooting only in RAWs.

You have to change it for every lens you mount on the camera.  That is why I wish Fuji would allow that setting to be added to the Q Menu !!!!!

 

The value you enter does nothing to correct the image due to any possible lens distortion.  It is only adding that focal length to the EXIF data.

I forget it regularly and never bother too much , at the moment I have more manual lenses than anything else... so this happens very often.

 

I don’t care about it as it , as said before, adds only efx data.
