Hi all,

Recently I upgraded my X-E2 camera body firmware from 1.00 to 4.10. Since that the flash cannot be activated any longer and a yellow sign displays that the "suppressed flash mode" is active. I've tried following all means described in the manual to switch the flash mode, but options of the flash mode are not available (grey, deactivated).

Before trying to downgrade to older firmware versions, I am looking forward to hearing your ideas.
Thank you very much in advance!

Matthias

It might be not your case but just give it a try first ( http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/firmware/x/xe2/index.html )

if this "reset" trick wouldn't help I'd go with incremental firmware upgrade 1.0 -> 2.0 -> 3.0 ... checking flash mode functionality every time.

Hi,

Resetting the menu actually worked! This has set the flash mode back to auto.

Meanwhile I figured out that there is one menu setting "sound and flash", not only disables click sounds but also disables the flash alltogether!

That sound has something to do with flash was unexpected.

Thank you!
