FWIW... In the U.S. what is on offer is $100 "instant rebate" off the T-2 and 18-55mm kit, about the same as your rebate.  However, the price on the kit ($1899, now $1799) did not rise. The camera kits and a few lenses have been scarce, and Fuji incentives rare and a while in coming. But right now in the U.S. the new price is indeed (net) $100 off both camera alone ($1499 from $1599) and the kit ($1799 down from $1899). Maybe it can transfer to UK savings via online (Adorama, B&H, and Amazon all reflect the sales prices.) Also a few lenses are now with rebates, including some of the long ones at $150 off. I just bought some of the discounted goodies this past week when they finally appeared a) available in the big camera stores here in NY; and with a long-time-in-the-coming Fuji-sponsored "instant" rebate (discount at time of purchase).  That's the story here, anyway.

Look like the XT2 is the same price in US Dollars as here in the UK - I know US prices don't include Sales Tax but all the same it's another case of the UK Consumer getting charged more. I decided to go for the 16-55 lens in the meantime as it has £145 cash back and look at the body again next year when the XT2s is released - maybe the XT2 will come down again then.
