Hi guys,

I've got problem with my Xt1, normally when I turn on my cam and start photo, the first few images were good and no issue. However, when a certain period of usage, I noticed very fine horizontal lines on the screen. It is not just on the screen or evf. It was visible as well in the output photos. Hope do you have any idea what's happening with my Xt1. Please see the attached sample image. Any advise for resolution. Thank you.

Hi there - also a newbie here.

I've come across exactly the same effect with my new X-T20; it's almost as though the image is printed on a fine canvas.  I've eventually traced it to my RAW conversion process. I'm still using Photoshop CS6 as I don't like Adobe's Creative Cloud 'Rental only' payment system, so the X-T20 isn't recognised and I had to use Adobe's DNG converter to download usable DNG files. When I opened the converted files in CS6 I had exactly the same pattern as you.

After reading a few forums I've now downloaded Iridient X-transformer (for Mac or Windows) which is specifically designed for the X-Trans sensor and the problem is gone. The cost is under £30 and it's slow but brilliant for X-Tran sensor files and gives you usable DNG files you can edit in your usual software.

I hope this helps.

Phil

    • I noticed this today on Amazon: "Handevision HVIB4085FX IBELUX 40mm f/0.85 High-Speed Lens for Fuji X Digital Cameras". I know nothing about the lens or the maker, save what it says on the page on Amazon. And of course I'm not promoting it. I just thought it was interesting that there was a lens this fast, and don't think I've seen its equal for our mount. I did have a single element asphere that was just for one wavelength, for collimating light, so its optical performance would deteriorate rapidly away from the center. It was f/0.67. And I have a paper about a microscope objective design that gave an NA of 0.92 which corresponds to f/0.2, which could be a world record as far as I know. The paper is here: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1611.02159.pdf But not anything for mounting on Fuji X cameras. Just thought it was interesting.
    • Hey, all, anybody know how to change the film simulation on the XPro3 sub monitor with a joystick?  Mine not working. Thank you.
    • Good afternoon, I've been shooting with my xt4 and the same cards, for the last year and never had this kind of problem, but last weekend during a job, my camera showed the Write Error text. Since I was filming a theatre play, there's no way I'd film it again, and proceeded to keep recording. It changed automatically to SLOT 2, and after a while, I've changed the slots. The second card, the one with no problem until then, went to the first slot, and I've put another one in the slot 2. After 5 minutes, the same thing. Write Error, on the slot 1.  When I came home, I've found out that I've lost all the takes that had the Write Error. I'm assuming it's something related to the slots, since it happened to my two fastest cards on the slot 1 and not to the slowest, that was on the second. Both cards that had error, worked perfectly on the slot 2. The second camera could film it, but my footage disapeared. How I'd lost 11 minutes on the first take, and 5 on the second, I tried to recover it with a lot of different programs and couldn't find any solution.  Does anyone here has any sugestion on how to recover the files?

    • Hi everyone, and thank you for this initiative. It’s really sad for DPR. I wasn’t an ‘active’ member, but only a reader. To me , DPReview was the place with all the tips you required : camera infos , feedback… I’m not a fuji owner …yet.  But I m planning to be very soon. For now, I m still with my nikon gear.
