Filters for 23mm f2?

Recommended Posts

I've been considering getting a 23mm f2, but I don't think I would be able to use my Lee filter kit as they don't list a 43mm adaptor ring. I can't see a step up ring to 67mm as I have on my 14mm lens either. Anyone have a solution?

Why not buy 2 step rings - 43/58mm 58/67mm - job done. Isn't the 14mm a 58mm filter thread?

That's an idea but I thought it might cause vignetting?

I use the Lee 7/5 system with a 58mm adapter and 43/58mm step ring with no problems on the 23mmf2

Hello to everybody,

I'm a new entry in Fuji X forum and reading this topics I would like to make you aware that Lee filters 100mm system 43mm wide angle adaptor ring exists.

I bought it just last July from a well known web sites in UK; I'm from Rome and the adaptor ring has been received within a week.

Bye.

M

      Hi,
I am (actually tried to) use my Xume 49mm magnetic filter holder with the X100V.
But because of the magnet, the X100V detects that I have the wide angle conversion lens attached.
I was wondering if some other users have seen this issue too with magnetic filters ?
Is there a way to disable the automatic detection of conversion lenses ?

Does anyone know of any issues in using a polarising filter on the Fuji X-Pro 2?
I'm new to using a mirrorless camera, so apologise in advance if my question appears dumb.

      Many Thank Neil

In my DSLR-times I bought expensive SinghRay ND-grad filters to avoid any colorshift. It was worth the expenses. But with my X-T2 I have a serious colorshift to purple. It seems to be stronger in sunlite and weaker when it's overcast, but it's there.
Here is a picture as an example.

      Has anybody experienced anything similar?
What do you use? Is it color-neutral?

      Thanks for your contributions.

I wish I could just chuck my gear around ! So many people seem to be able to use their Fujis like workhorse tools.. they get beaten up, grazed and scratched but are always instantly ready to capture an image. On the contrary..  I keep mine safe, wrapped in leather cases with lens caps AND skylight filters, they all still look like new. Somehow I can't bring myself to let them get messed up. I think I need help !

A few images taken using the Lee filter system (full size) on my XF14mm lens have featured a curious semicircular artefact. I thought at first it was flare but on closer inspection I've realised it is reflections of the lettering on the front lens flange. An example is attached - I've bumped up the contrast to make them more obvious.

There is (hopefully) an easy fix to this. I've applied some black tape to cover up the white letters. Checking through there EVF this seems effective but I'll try it on my next shoot and see how it goes. I haven't seen the problem with my other Fujifilm lenses (18-135 and 35 f1.4).
If anyone has encountered it before I'd like to hear their experiences and fixes if appropriate.

    • Follow these steps: - put an empty/formatted card in the camera - go into Set Up/Save Data Set-up/Frame No. : change to RENEW - take a single picture (this will be DSCF0001), turn off the camera and remove the card - copy your original picture (DSCF1478) onto the card (You could also change the name of the DSCF0001 file in your computer if you no longer have the original DSCF1478) - put this card in the camera and turn it on - before taking any pictures change RENEW
    • I have the 10. I don't think the 13 will fit. The 10 fits tightly into the bottom of the pack, which is good because it won't get shaken around.

    • Can I update X-T2 firmware from ver 3.00 to ver 4.32 in one step?
    • im new to this forum but no stranger to fuji  @LEEP sorry to hear your having issues as well!  I’ve been shooting on an xt1 since the first release, I just upgraded to the xt4 last week.  As soon as I unpacked it, fiddled with it and connected it to my phone, it prompted for a firmware update and I figured why not.... bad move? Jury is still out.  since then, randomly, maybe every third time I go to use the camera it won’t turn on. I’ll have to completely remove the battery and put it b
