lcd screen goes black once in a while

Every once in a while, I lose the image in my lcd screen. The screen goes black. It happens mostly when the vertical mode is pulled out.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Here's one guess: If holding the camera in portrait orientation (vertical mode?) does any part of an arm or hand (or even a camera strap) obstruct the eye sensor? If so it will think your eye is at the viewfinder and blank the lcd and transfer the view to the evf.

Thanks. That is what I thought about after posting this question. I will pay more attention to that when I shoot in portrait mode.

What's the vertical mode, and how do you pull it out?

Vertical or portrait mode. There is a release on the side of the screen that allows the screen to come out at an angle.

I had an X-T4, it did this, now have an X-H2S, and it does it. Seriously wtf??
