Hi. When I set a speed on the shutter dial I can change the shutter speed 2 partial stops lower and partial 2 stops higher. For example I set the dial at 1/500 I am limited to 1/320 1/400 1/500 1/640 1/800. If I dial in 1/1000 I am limited to 1/640 1/800 1/1000 1/1250 1/1600. I am familiar with Fuji bodies. I have never come across this limitation before. I did a full reset to no avail. Look forward to your help.

It has worked that way on the X-T line since the X-T1. As @Greybeard mentions, these are fine tunings between each of the speeds listed on the top shutter speed dial.

You can set the top shutter speed dial to T and then use a command dial to roll through all of the partial shutter speed stops. But be careful, if you accidentally push the dial in, you will be adjusting settings for other modes.

p.s. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the replies. It’s a worthwhile feature being able to quickly have access to 2/3rd shutter speed adjustments. But my issue is the camera does not go to higher or lower speeds from that point. Using my example of 1/500 I can go the 1/3 … 2/3 stops up and down. What I/the camera cannot do is  go higher or lower than the 2/3rd’s. Using the 1/500th example on my previous post, I can not set the shutter to 1/250th or any other lower setting and/or higher setting eg. 1/1000th. I cannot go outside of the limited 1/320 1/400 1/500 1/640 1/800 range. Up or down.
