Eric Draven has been irresponsive to my request of information, maybe I am on his ignore list, the store is Fuji Canada, the form only allows Canadian locations , I’ve tried.

One would expect that all national Fuji would do this but they don’t only Fuji UK does that too but way more expensive and I am not sure they ship from there to the NL.

  • 3 weeks later...

Problem with these shirts is they are a v-neck which is more of a woman's cut than a men's cut.  I was given one of these by a Fuji rep at the launch of the XT2 and when I wore it I thought the v-neck was a bit more of a ladies cut.  Then it was commented to me that the v-neck looked 'unflattering' on me because of it being a very feminine cut.  There are men cut v-necks but usually the 'V' isn't so deep.

This may differ by countries/cultures, but in north america this is a great ladies cut, but not common mens cut.

Just FYI.

I’ve just asked my wife if she ever heard that a V neck T shirt wouldn’t be a “ manly” thing and she never heard of it too ( we both lived in many countries but I checked with her because I wanted to have someone else’s perspective)

Incredibly, yes, there seems to be a North American issue with V neck T shirts.

It reminded me the days of my youth when many of my friends were American sons and daughters of NATO military stationed in Italy. They never wore swimming trunks or speedos ( this is the ’70) they all wore cut jeans with their underwear , some thing that had us all puzzled.

They told us that they thought very little of our speedos which, they were pretty definite, they thought that belonged to males with an alternative sexual orientation. That had us even more puzzled!  :D No one in Italy would have though that!

But yes, you seem to be right about the prejudicial views on V necks!

Sorry...  Didn't watch this thread for awhile...

The only thing I would suggest is to email Fujifilm Canada and inquire about shipping outside of Canada

I'm not affiliated with Fujifilm Canada so I don't have any precise response in regards to your inquiries...

:)

American Apparel had different ranges of V Necks for Men's T-Shirts...

But then again American Apparel no long exists...  LOL!!!

Mine fits fine BTW...  :)

V neck T shirts are normal shirts over here, although not many, indeed wear them with large print advertising companies.

But this one is rather subtle.

I have to say it is not really original. This other one ( round neck) is pretty popular amongst the other subculture I am part of.

Picturer, if you scroll the thread a little bit up this would be clearer to you.

Forum member Adam Woodhouse says that the reason why this might be offerd at such a low price in Canada is because the V neck in Canada /Usa is seen as a "feminine cut”.

I was amazed by such a thing and asked around and paid attention to see if anyone over here thinks the same of this particular fashion statement.

I concluded that in the NL this is not the case. Then I found a video on you tube where American boys and girls discuss this thing, and, amazing though it seems, it appears to be true.

There is a bias against the V neck in Canada and the US. I never knew that and I am somewhat puzzled by it hence my referring to this.

I wan’t talking of your post but referring to another before of yours.

Beige is also a color not ostracized in  several countries of mainland Europe.

Maybe, but I learned something new today. I never knew that shirts with a V-neck were meant for women (at least in Northern America). Most of my shirts have a V-neck, and here I would consider them unisex Indeed.

    • Looking more like the next Fuji camera we see will be an X-T50 but it is still a rumor and no specs have been published.
    • Hey guys, The shutter on/off button switch may be loose on mine. After turning camera on and pressing the shutter/holding close to the area, the camera will turn off and say 'sensor cleaning'. This doesn't happen if I'm shooting via touch screen at all. Everything else is functional. Anyone else experience this before? Would love a much cheaper fix since Fuji Canada just quoted me $700 CAD to fix it, and considering everything else is functional except that part I'm not even sure why MPMB Main Board parts is being replaced😕 I got no explanation from them either.
    • As far as I know the firmware is not country specific. Are you sure that the filename has not been changed ( I am told this can happen with mac os). That's the only thing I can think of.
    • My x-t5 does not exhibit the focusing switch behaviour as you report it, so that is very strange and indicative of a fault. It does not matter whether the flash is attached or not. Once you set the camera for your studio flash, say 1/250th at f5.6, the camera, which is showing you what you will get at that exposure without the flash, will show a black screen unless the ambient light is brighter than what you would typically get indoors. That is why, as Jerry says, you have to set preview exp/wb to off. I have set a button for this.
    • I connected to FRAME.IO a while back and it works fine, but the camera wouldn't connect to the internet all of a sudden today and would get stuck on the reset screen, including initializing and even switching USB Connection mode. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?
