XH2S for sport - delay in working

Hi folks. I use two xh2s for rugby and other genres. I use a body attached to the 70-200 hanging by my side for close in and the 200f2 with tele for longer range. When changing quickly from long range to short the camera can be non responsive if it is left for a while and can take a few seconds to jump into life. This is enough to miss the important shots at times. I have the auto power off on off and performance on boost. I generally have it on C1 with 1600 ss, f2.8 and automatic iso 160-3200 with single point afc. Am I expecting too much? Does anyone else experience this? Is there a way to resolve? If anyone has any thoughts I would be grateful to hear. Many thanks in advance. Sam.
