Hi all. Your assistance / advice will be greatly appreciated.
I use an XT3, and acquired the Godox 350 and Godox X1T remote trigger. For some reason, the remote trigger will not fire the flash off-camera. The following may be relevant:
When I have both the remote trigger and the flash off the camera, the test button on the remote trigger does fire the flash.
When the flash is on the camera, I works perfectly in all modes.
When the remote trigger is on the camera, it fires the flash when I press the test button on the remote trigger
When I press the shutter it does NOT fire the flash.
When the remote trigger is on the camera, the only flash setting available are Off and Manual.
From the above, it would seem to me tat both the flash and the remote trigger in fact work, but that either:
The remote trigger is not compatible with the XT3; OR
There is some setting on the XT3 that I need to adjust.
Any thoughts or experience with this equipment?
Regards and take care.
I have an issue with triggering off camera flash since I updated the FW of my X-T3 to version 3.20. The flash is only being triggered about 8 out of 10 times, which is very distracting and annoying. I tried with two different flash brands (GODOX trigger + flash, Elinchrom trigger + flash) and see the same problem. I have used the same set-up for about 30 shootings (at ~1000 shots per shooting) last year and never had this issue. I could now observe it during the two shootings I had after I upgraded to 3.20.
The issue doesn't immediately occur. During the first shooting, it happened after about 3 hours. During the second shooting, it happened after about 1 hour. I use the X-T3 with the vertical grip and 3 original NP-W126S batteries. I was suspecting a battery issue during the first shooting and therefore ensured that they were fully charged for the second shooting but it did not solve the issue.
Does anyone have experienced a similar issue?
Thanks and cheers
I received the trigger today and can't figure out how to hook it up. Pluto said to order cable for the XT-3, which is the E3 cable. But I can't find where to plug it into the camera. Anyone out there using this setup? Thank you in advance.!
But... You can't monitor audio and power the camera from the same usb port. I've tried several splitter options and none of them work; leaving me to monitor audio with their usb dongle and pull that if I have to power the camera with my monitor battery usb out.
When shooting video a camera is fully caged, with matte box, rails and follow focus. You don't want to change a battery out. You pretty much have to tear down your rig to do that...

It is well buried I have to admit but this should solve your problem.
Have you considered trying Davinci Resolve? I have used it with 4K H.265 4:2:0 generated with an X-T3. Color grading tools are excellent. Works well on a Mac. But I know there is Windows version. You can download the very powerful freeware version 17 that has no time limits to see if it works for you.
