Hi

I have X-T1 with FUJINON XF18-135mmF3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lense. After a firmware update (Ver5.52) no longer after Macro mode option anywhere in Menu.  Any ideas or suggestions to get it back? Thanks.

Thank you for contacting Fujifilm Australia.

The good news is this is expected: X-T1 firmware version 4.00 added auto macro capability to the camera, which means it no longer required a dedicated macro mode for taking close-up photos.

Your 18-135mm lens will be able to focus through the full zoom range starting from its closest focus distance of approx 0.45m, without needing to worry about any extra button presses.

There were quite a few changes and improvements in X-T1 firmware updates. If you'd like to go through the full list of changes from each individual firmware update, you may already know but the info is found at https://fujifilm-x.com/en-au/support/download/firmware/cameras/x-t1/.

The specific item regarding macro mode from firmware 4.00 is copied below:
(4)Auto Macro mode The firmware update introduces the Auto Macro function, which automatically switches the camera into the Macro mode while maintaining the conventional AF speed. You no longer have to press the Macro button to initiate a close-up shot. This update eliminates the Macro function assigned to the Macro Button, allowing you to assign a different function to the button. (Just after this update, the function will be assigned to AF mode selection.)
We hope this helps and for more information or if there is anything else we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact us.
