Can I shoot men's soccer w/X-T2 & 55-200mm lens?

I've shot soccer with the 55-200.  It's not the fastest lens, but it's SHARP even wide-open.  I've used it with the X-T1 and 2.  I Use a high(er) iso -- such as 400 to 800.  Provia color ( that's up to you)  I Shoot wide-open aperture to keep the shutter speed as high as i can.  If using the X-T2, change the focus to "C" and set it to the best tracking mode (experiment while they are warming up).  CH mode for bursts.  JPEG only if you choose (though I shoot both JPEG + RAW) mostly because I forget to change it to JPEG only.

I also shoot softball the same way -- but it's little league so not as much action there.

Thanks! I have heard that the #1 setting is the worst for any action sports.

I sold my 55-200 and got the 100-400. I shoot my grandkids playing football and Lacrosse here in the Pacific Northwest, so the WR was really important for me. (lots of rain in Seattle!) Fantastic pics on my X-T2. I have become the team photographer. I shoot at 1/500th, F10-11, and let the ISO float. Using LR on the RAW images give me lots of pixels to crop to the action I want. The pics get uploaded to a Shutterfly site for all the parents to see.

Absolutely...depending on day or night most likely, however I shoot Pro mens USL and MLS soccer with the X-T2 + 50-140 + 2x Extender @ 5.6 without issue day and night.

    • Ahoy ye hearties! Hoist ye yon Jolly Roger and Cascade away. NGC 1502 The Jolly Roger Cluster:

This is the equivalent of 43 minutes, 40 seconds of exposure. NGC 1502 is a neat little cluster located in the Camelopardalis Constellation. This region of space was thought to be fairly empty by early astronomers, but as you can see, there is a lot there. Kemble's Cascade (a.k.a. Kemble 1) is named for Father Lucian Kemble, a Canadian Franciscan friar who wrote about it to Walter Scott Houston, an author for the Sky And Telescope magazine. Houston named the asterism for Fr. Kemble and the name "stuck". NGC 1501 is the Oyster Nebula. A longer focal length telescope is needed to bring this one into good viewing, but it is well worth the effort. • Looking for input; there are some decent deals and might want to take advantage to expand my lenses for my 100s already own: 110/2 32-64 35-70 100-200 + TC   Shooting mostly family shots, bringing my kit to capture family outings indoors and out. Tracking the 63/43 effective FLs on the two, but has anybody used both? Would the 55 (covered by two zooms right now) be redundant? Would the 80 be too similar in character to my 110 for portraiture?
    • See what I mean? Two instantaneous ads. Worthless.
    • What's the deal Fuji X Forum? I'm noticing there are seldom replies to any topics - except for advertisements posted as replies. Really lame. Anyone else noticing the only reply they receive to a question is an advert?  🤠 fotomatt in Colorado
