I am essentially reposting an older topic that I have had the same issue with,  though has not been addressed. I'm hoping with the time gone by since the original help request, some kind soul might be able to assist in addressing the issue.

Most of the time my XT5 and 150-600mm lens is great, but occasionally I have an issue where when I try to focus on something using the autofocus, the screen and viewfinder will flash on and off and the lens will make faint clicking sounds. This often happens when zooming in or out, then refocusing.  After around 10 to 20 seconds the image on the view finder will stop flashing on and off and I can use my camera again, so this issue isn't stopping me from using my camera but it does cause me to miss the occasional time sensitive picture. This issue does not occur when I use any other fuji lens.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have no idea what causes this to happen or how to troubleshoot it. I was hoping this might be something that could be an easy fix as opposed to reaching out to Fuji . I really don't want to be without my lens for a few weeks (or longer?)
